  • Accessible venue on ground floor (excluding stage and back stage areas)
  • Hall with stage, audio, basic lighting, and two adjoining change rooms with shower and toilets. Large projector screen also available for use. Please note there is no projector
  • Trestle tables and chairs included in hire
  • Large commercial Kitchen space with some crockery and glassware
  • Air conditioning
  • Shared carparking with some dedicated accessible parking spaces
  • Shared outside rotunda area and public toilets with Kawana Library
  • Suitable for theatre productions, music events, community markets, small exhibitions, meetings, workshops, private functions, physical activities and more
  • Please note there is no WIFI at this venue.

Fees and Charges

  • Venue hire and bond charges are dependent on the hirer and event. To qualify for Community Rate a Not For Profit group, school or government organisation must provide documented proof.
  • Additional Cleaning and security charges may apply
  • All events where alcohol is to be consumed will require Security. Security will be organised by the Community Spaces team and a fee will be added to your booking. For more information please read  Alcohol Consumption at Community Spaces

Important Information

  • This is a Self Service venue – Hirer is responsible for locking/unlocking the venue and complete set up/pack down of your event.
  • This venue is located in a residential area – all noise must cease at 11.30pm and venue must be fully vacated by 12am midnight.
  • All bookings must have current Public Liability Insurance with a minimum of $20M coverage. For private events e.g. weddings/engagements/birthdays will have the option to use Council’s Public Liability Insurance or source own coverage. All other bookings must provide a copy of their current Certificate of Currency showing minimum $20M coverage.

The venue is in close proximity to restaurants and a convenience store. Kawana Island Meeting Place offers two spaces (Meeting Room A and Meeting Room B) for hire with a removable wall that allows the rooms to be combined for one larger space.
