White Lies show supports SunnyKids, promotes solidarity

Returning after an incredible inaugural show in 2021, Burlesque L’amour again presents White Lies – Dancing against DV; a burlesque cabaret event to be held at Venue 114 this June.

With a focus on empowering women, White Lies promotes self-love and self-confidence while encouraging the audience to recognise that what you see on the surface isn’t always what is real.

This high-calibre show will feature uplifting music, stunning costumes and inspiring choreography from the Show Girls of Burlesque L’amour, a Sunshine Coast-based dance school offering dance classes that promote self-love, strength and courage.

All proceeds from the event will go to much-loved local charity SunnyKids to support their mission to end family and domestic violence.

SunnyKids General Manager, Kathleen Hope reflected ‘What a fantastically empowering performance that Jordyn and the team from Burlesque L’Amour gave us last year. The show conveyed such strong and feminine energy, and I know we all watched the effortless athleticism in awe.

From our team to theirs, we would like to thank Jordyn and her team for choosing SunnyKids as this year’s beneficiaries. Bring on June 25th!’

Venue 114 Manager, Louise Thompson said ‘As a Sunshine Coast venue that passionately believes in hosting events that empower our community, we are so proud to be able to host this event again for a second year. The increasing impact of domestic violence continues to be felt far and wide and this show raises both funds and awareness in a way that is full of hope.’
