Disability Expo Sunshine Coast 2019

Disabled people and carers in regional Queensland don’t have access to the same resources as those who reside in metropolitan areas. In an industry first, all the disability providers are going to bring their knowledge and services to the people that need it. In one place!

As a mother of disabled children, Sharon Fulwood struggled with navigating the disability industry and finding much needed support for her two children, Jake, with Spina Bifida, and Ryan, with multiple high functioning Autism. Now that her children are a little older she has dedicated her time to ensuring other regional parents get the support they desperately need.

Disability Expo Sunshine Coast is a  unique event aimed at bringing the disability community together to celebrate life, age, empower, learn, share and experience latest technologies. Along with ample exhibits, visitors will be able to attend a variety of FREE workshops.

People with disabilities and the organisations who are there to support them believe that the NDIS is not working well and is at a high risk of failing – Australian Aging Agenda 28/11/18. Therefore, there is no better time to support both areas of the community by supplying what is needed. It is crucial that regardless of who is applying for, or where they are applying for NDIS funding they are aware of what is available within the region they live in.

Our mission is to make it easier for Regional Australian families, carers and people with disabilities find the support, products and services to help them make informed decisions and improve their quality of life. Additionally, LTE seeks to connect different disability support businesses with the people who need them most in regional areas of Australia.
